Thomaston, GA – One Dead, Two Injured in Two Vehicle Head-On Collision

Thomaston, Georgia (July 6, 2023) – Post 26 Georgia State Patrol in Thomaston reported that a fatal accident on 74 West on Monday evening claimed the life of a 27-year-old woman.

The 69-year-old woman from Warm Springs who was driving a 2014 Buick Enclave was the alleged at-fault driver. She told first responders that she went to sleep at the wheel, crossing the center line, which resulted in a head-on collision.

The 27-year-old woman’s husband, who was also hurt in the collision along with their daughter, was operating the eastbound vehicle, a 2023 Kia Sportage. Both were transported to the E.R. at Upson Regional Medical Center.

According to the GSP report, the woman was in the front passenger seat and was 13 weeks pregnant. She later passed away from her injuries at URMC.

The at-fault driver was taken to Macon Medical Center by Ameri Pro EMS.

The Georgia State Patrol team is investigating the accident; charges are pending against the at-fault driver.

I met with Harry Brown personally and he sat with me for 20 minutes at our initial consultation to explain everything. He even called after my surgery to see how I was doing. I met with him several more times after that and was kept informed about my case throughout. I highly recommend Harry Brown as an attorney.

Fatal Auto Accidents in Georgia

Many people’s worst nightmare involves learning that a close friend or relative has died or been seriously injured in a car accident. A loved one’s accidental death is likely to cause financial and emotional hardship.

If a person is hurt in a car crash that was caused by the negligence of another driver, they have the legal right to file a personal injury claim and seek compensation. They are entitled to compensation for any direct costs incurred as a result of the accident.

If the accident victim dies as a result of their injuries, the victim’s surviving family members may bring a wrongful death claim against the at-fault driver.

In order to receive financial support for the funeral expenses and emotional suffering brought on by their loved one’s untimely passing, the family may file a wrongful death lawsuit.

When a family member dies as a result of someone else’s negligence, handling an insurance claim or filing a wrongful death lawsuit is probably the last thing on your mind. The statute of limitations severely limits the amount of time you have to file a wrongful death claim, so you must always act quickly.

A wrongful death attorney will ensure that you receive compensation for the following:

  • Funeral and Burial Expenses
  • Medical Expenses
  • Loss of Future Income
  • Loss of Consortium
  • Lost Wages
  • Emotional Trauma

If a family member was killed in a car accident, you should contact a Wrongful Death Attorney as soon as you can. Without the assistance of an experienced attorney, getting the compensation you are due can be difficult.
