Monroe County, GA – Four Tractor-Trailers Involved in Collision
Monroe County, GA (December 16, 2022) – At approximately 4 a.m. on Friday, December 16th, the Monroe County deputies were dispatched to Interstate 75 in reference to a jackknifed tractor-trailer.
The sheriff’s office reported that a semi-truck hydroplaned, which caused it to block one of the lanes of traffic.
While deputies were en route to the scene of the single-truck accident, another tractor-trailer collided with the first truck that was blocking the lane.
The second tractor-trailer came to a stop in the center lane.
Two additional tractor-trailers collided with the trucks that were blocking Interstate 75, which resulted in one of the trucks flipping over.
Three of the four drivers were injured, but their injuries were not considered to be life-threatening when they were taken to a nearby hospital.
The sheriff’s office estimates that more than 300 gallons of diesel fuel leaked onto the interstate after the accident.
It took several hours to clean up the fuel and remove the tractor-trailers from the road.
I met with Harry Brown personally and he sat with me for 20 minutes at our initial consultation to explain everything. He even called after my surgery to see how I was doing. I met with him several more times after that and was kept informed about my case throughout. I highly recommend Harry Brown as an attorney.
Tractor-Trailer Accidents in Georgia
Accidents involving tractor-trailers can result in catastrophic injury and trauma due to the sheer size and weight of these vehicles.
In the event that you or someone you care about was involved in an accident with a commercial vehicle, it is imperative that you get in touch with an experienced Truck Accident Attorney who can assist you with filing a claim for compensation.
Filing a truck accident claim for compensation can be quite complex. Drivers, trucking companies, the company that loaded the freight, or truck or tire manufacturers could all be held responsible if an accident occurs. If a truck veered into your lane, did the driver fall asleep or did the steering fail? Was the driver tired as a result of drugs, alcohol, or working too many hours? Did a truck part fail because of a flaw in its design or because it was not properly maintained?
How do you calculate how much the accident will cost you in future medical bills and lost wages when there could be so many parties at fault?
Truck accident attorneys are excellent at resolving these issues. Without the assistance of an accident lawyer, it can be difficult to understand how the system works and how to obtain the best settlement to compensate for your losses.
