Holly Springs, Georgia (February 13, 2023) – A 37-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash on I-575 north on Monday afternoon, according to Holly Springs police.

Police were called to I-575 north near the Holly Street bridge around 1:45 p.m. after a car struck a tow truck that was stopped in the emergency lane.

According to authorities, a man from Woodstock died at the scene.

The tow truck driver was taken to Northside Cherokee Hospital for treatment of his injuries. At this time, the extent of his injuries is unknown.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office was called in to help with the investigation into the accident.

I met with Harry Brown personally and he sat with me for 20 minutes at our initial consultation to explain everything. He even called after my surgery to see how I was doing. I met with him several more times after that and was kept informed about my case throughout. I highly recommend Harry Brown as an attorney.

Fatal Car Accidents in Georgia

Everyone’s worst nightmare is learning that a close friend or family member has died as a result of serious injuries sustained in a car accident. A family may be left emotionally and financially broken after a loved one dies in a motor vehicle accident.

A person who is injured in a car accident caused by the negligence of another driver has the legal right to file a claim for personal injury and seek compensation from the driver who caused the accident. They are entitled to compensation for any costs incurred as a direct result of the accident.

However, if an accident victim dies as a direct result of their injuries, their surviving family members have the legal right to file a wrongful death claim against the driver who caused the accident. The deceased person’s family will be able to seek justice for their loved one’s death.

The family can file a wrongful death lawsuit to seek financial compensation for funeral expenses and emotional distress caused by their loved one’s untimely death.

When another person’s negligence causes the death of a member of your family, the last thing on your mind is likely to be settling a claim with the insurance company or filing a wrongful death claim. However, it is critical to remember that you only have a certain amount of time to file a wrongful death claim, which is known as the statute of limitations.

If you hire a Wrongful Death Lawyer to represent you in your claim, they will make sure you are compensated for the following:

  • Funeral and Burial Expenses
  • Medical Expenses
  • Lost Wages
  • Loss of Future Income
  • Loss of Consortium
  • Emotional Trauma

If a member of your family was killed in a car accident, you should contact a Wrongful Death Attorney as soon as possible. It can be difficult to obtain the compensation you are owed without the assistance of a lawyer.
