Motorcycle Accidents in Georgia

Accidents involving motorcycles consistently rank among the most severe and life-threatening. A significant number of people who are injured in motorcycle accidents sustain head injuries, neck injuries, broken bones, or need surgery.

In a regular car, the passengers are protected by seat belts, air bags, and the four walls that surround them. Vehicles are also equipped with “crumple zones,” which make it possible for the vehicle to absorb some of the impact. Those who are involved in car accidents face a lower risk of injury than a motorcyclist.

Any collision involving a motorcycle could result in:

  • Being thrown from the motorcycle
  • A direct hit to the body from the other vehicle
  • Hitting the pavement at very high speeds

All of these things are why a motorcycle rider’s worst nightmare is getting into an accident. When an accident does occur, you should contact a Motorcycle Accident Attorney for legal help.

Your experienced lawyer will help you recover compensation for the following:

  • Medical Expenses
  • Lost Wages
  • Emotional Distress
  • Any Costs Associated with the Accident

If someone loses their life in a motorcycle accident, and it was the fault of the other driver, a family member will have the right to hire a Wrongful Death Attorney and seek compensation on behalf of the deceased.

Of course no amount of money will ever make up for the loss of a loved one, however, it is meant to help ease the financial burden that occurs when a family member dies unexpectedly.

Whether an injury or wrongful death occurred, a motorcycle accident lawyer should be contacted as soon as possible if you wish to pursue financial compensation for your losses.

At The Brown Firm, we have an experienced team of Personal Injury Lawyers who will help you file a claim against the at-fault driver.

Single Vehicle Accidents in Georgia

“Single vehicle accidents” are collisions in which there is only one vehicle and one driver involved. The most common causes of single-vehicle accidents are collisions with fixed objects or being pushed off the road.

Even if there was only one other vehicle on the road at the time of the collision, it is still possible for there to be serious injuries or even fatalities.

Single-vehicle collisions present various legal difficulties. Even when there was only one vehicle involved in the accident, it is not always simple to determine who was at fault for the collision.

There is a chance that the accident was caused by the carelessness of another person. Consider the following:

  1. Poor road conditions can make it difficult for drivers to maintain control of their vehicles, increasing the risk of a collision. Potholes, seams, and building debris left on the road can all be examples of defects. If you were involved in an accident as a result of the poor road conditions, the person or organization responsible for the problem could be held accountable.
  2. Even if another driver’s car did not collide with yours, they could still be held responsible for the accident. The negligent driver of the other vehicle may be held liable for any damages incurred if they run your vehicle off the road.
  3. Mechanical issues can cause a variety of problems when driving a car. When a car’s brakes, steering columns, tires, wipers, and airbags fail to function properly, the driver may be killed. When your vehicle malfunctions, you may be able to file a claim against the manufacturer.

These are just a few examples of situations in which a single driver may not be to blame for the accident.

At The Brown Firm, one of our knowledgeable and experienced Car Accident Attorneys will perform a comprehensive investigation into all of the evidence and particulars pertaining to your collision.

If another party is to blame for the collision, it’s important to get in touch with a Personal Injury Lawyer as quickly as possible.

Multi Vehicle Accidents in Georgia

Chain reaction accidents are the common name given to collisions involving multiple vehicles. They frequently take place on highways and other high-speed roads as a result of one or more drivers making a mistake or following another vehicle too closely. When one car collides with another, it sets off a chain reaction that can result in a very dangerous accident that frequently results in a pileup of vehicles. These collisions can make it difficult to determine which party or parties are at fault for the accident.

On Georgia’s highways, chain reaction accidents involving multiple vehicles are fairly common because the state’s population is expanding and more people are buying cars.

When it comes to multi vehicle accidents, for the most part, the same laws apply as they do for regular car accidents.

The added drivers, businesses, and the individual lawyers that represent them are what cause the processes to vary to such a great extent.

Any time you’re involved in a multi vehicle accident, it’s in your best interest to hire an experienced Car Accident Attorney in Cartersville, GA  for legal help.

Determining who is at fault in a multi vehicle accident is not always easy. Insurance companies will do whatever they can to place blame onto someone else and make it as difficult as possible for you to receive any compensation.

With the help of a Personal Injury Attorney from The Brown Firm, you can rest assured that your case will be handled with great care.

Pedestrian Accidents in Georgia

Accidents involving pedestrians pose a significant danger. Pedestrian accidents are typically more serious than other types of accidents because a car can cause significant damage to an unprotected person even when moving slowly. Almost all pedestrian accidents result in injuries, and many of them lead to Wrongful Death.

Accidents involving pedestrians are treated in the same way that motor vehicle collisions are treated. Victims of accidents and their family members have the legal right to seek compensation for any losses that were suffered as a result of the accident.

Even though pedestrians usually have the right of way, they can sometimes be held responsible for an accident. Pedestrians who cross the street illegally, unexpectedly, and without warning may be partially or entirely at fault for the collision, even if they suffer the most severe injuries as a result of it.

If it is determined that the pedestrian caused the accident, the driver of the car may be entitled to compensation for the expenses incurred, such as the cost of repairing the car. It is usually determined that the driver of the vehicle was at least partially responsible for the pedestrian accident. This is because drivers have a responsibility to be aware of pedestrians and to yield to them when necessary.

If you or a loved one were involved in any type of pedestrian accident, whether you were the pedestrian or the driver, you should contact a reputable Personal Injury Lawyer as soon as possible to discuss your legal options.

We have a team of experienced Pedestrian Accident Attorneys at The Brown Firm who have a proven track record in their respective fields. Atlanta, GA – Police Search for SUV Involved in a Pedestrian Hit-and-Run Accident

Atlanta, GA (November 16, 2022) – The Atlanta Police Department is actively searching for the driver who struck a teen girl and left her with serious injuries.

Even though it’s been more than a week since the incident took place in the Virginia Highland neighborhood, the victim is still being treated in the burn unit at Grady.

On November 7, according to the victim’s father, his daughter was injured in a hit-and-run accident near the intersection of Lanier Boulevard and North Virginia Avenue. He claimed that she was dragged for more than 60 feet during the hit-and-run incident.

The victim’s parents are living a parent’s worst nightmare. Their 17-year-old daughter now needs multiple surgeries.

Her father stated, “they hit her, knew they hit her, and they dragged her 68 feet over the asphalt and left her to die.”

The victim was wearing jeans and Adidas shoes at the time of the accident. Both are now torn and worn. In the days following the hit-and-run, her mother stated that blue jean fibers could be seen in the drag marks that were left on the road.

A video of the incident that occurred close to the intersection of Lanier Boulevard and North Virginia Avenue was made public by the Atlanta Police Department. It displayed a light-colored SUV that investigators believe was involved in the hit-and-run that occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. on the night in question.

The victim’s father said that “as you watch the videos you can see when she gets hit, you can see the car kind of jars, and then you can hear her being drug.”

The victim’s parents have pleaded with locals to look through any surveillance footage they may have on their cameras in the hopes of catching another glimpse of the hit-and-run vehicle.

The victim’s father said the person responsible needs to be caught and answer for what they did.

Police and the family ask anyone with information or video to call investigators immediately.

Even though pedestrians typically have the right of way, they can still sometimes be to blame for the accident. Pedestrians who cross the street illegally or suddenly and without warning may be partially or entirely at fault for the collision, even if they are the ones who sustained the most severe injuries as a result of it.

If it is determined that the pedestrian was at fault for the accident, the driver of the car may be entitled to compensation for the expenses they incurred as a result, such as the cost of repairing the vehicle. It is customarily determined that the driver of the vehicle was at least partially responsible for the accident that took place with the pedestrian. This is due to the fact that drivers have a responsibility to be watchful of pedestrians and to give way to them when appropriate.

In the event that you or a loved one were involved in a pedestrian accident of any kind, regardless of whether you were the pedestrian or the driver, you should get in touch with a reputable Personal Injury Lawyer as soon as possible to discuss the various legal options available to you.

At The Brown Firm, we have a team of experienced Pedestrian Accident Attorneys with a strong track record in their respective fields. When you get in touch with our legal practice, we immediately set up a free consultation with one of our attorneys so that we can learn the specifics of your case and figure out how we can help you with the recovery of your losses.

Tifton- GA – Woman Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle

Tifton, GA (November 2, 2022) – Georgia State Patrol investigated a fatal pedestrian accident in Tifton, GA, late Tuesday night.

Troopers were called to 20th Street, near Missouri Avenue, after a female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed.

Preliminary information obtained from the Georgia State Patrol says that a Ford Explorer, driven by 86-year-old woman, was traveling west on 20th Street when a female pedestrian attempted to cross the street, travelling into the path of the vehicle.

The Explorer struck the pedestrian, who troopers say was not walking in a crosswalk.

The Tift County Coroner’s Office says that the 51-year-old woman tragically died at the scene of the accident as a result of injuries she sustained when struck by the vehicle.

I met with Harry Brown personally and he sat with me for 20 minutes at our initial consultation to explain everything. He even called after my surgery to see how I was doing. I met with him several more times after that and was kept informed about my case throughout. I highly recommend Harry Brown as an attorney.

STEVEN SWEENY, SAVANNAH

Pedestrian Accident Lawyer

Accidents involving pedestrians are extremely dangerous. They are often more serious than other types of accidents because a car can cause so much damage to an unprotected person even when moving slowly. Almost all pedestrian accidents result in injuries, and many result in death.

The law treats pedestrian accidents in the same way that it does car-on-car collisions. Victims or family members of victims in an accident have the right to seek compensation for their losses.

Even though pedestrians usually have the right of way, they are still sometimes to blame for the accident. Even if they are the ones who sustained the most severe injuries, pedestrians who cross the street illegally or suddenly and without warning may be partially or entirely at fault for the collision.

If the pedestrian is found to be at fault, they may be required to pay the costs incurred by the driver of the car, such as repairs to the vehicle. Because drivers have a responsibility to be watchful and yield to pedestrians, it is typically determined that the driver of the vehicle was at least partially responsible for the accident that occurred with the pedestrian.

If you or a loved one was in a pedestrian accident of any kind, whether you were the pedestrian or the driver, you should contact a reputable Pedestrian Accident Lawyer right away to go over your legal options.

Since many pedestrian accidents end tragically, you may need the help of a Wrongful Death Lawyer if you believe your loved one lost their life as a result of someone else’s negligence.

At The Brown Firm, we have an experienced team of attorneys who specialize in both pedestrian and wrongful death accidents. When you contact our firm, we provide you with a free consultation with an attorney so we can find out the details of your case and determine how we can best assist with the recovery of your losses.

Gainesville, GA – Two K9s Taken to Vet for Injuries after Wreck Involving a Tractor-Trailer

Gainesville, GA (November 12, 2022) – According to the Georgia State Patrol, two K9s belonging to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office were injured in a collision involving a tractor-trailer on Friday,  November 11, 2022 and were transported to a veterinary hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Troopers were called to Browns Bridge Road near Lamplighter Cove Road around 10:25 a.m. on Friday.

A deputy with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office was driving a 2018 Ford F-150 that was designated as a K9 vehicle westbound on Browns Bridge Road when they were forced to stop due to the volume of traffic. Timo and Bella, the two canine companions of the deputy, were housed in their respective kennels in the back of the truck.

According to the state patrol, the tractor-trailer driver, who was 60 years old and from Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, was following too closely when he collided with the back of the sheriff’s office truck.

The state patrol reported that both dogs were taken to a local veterinary hospital to be treated for their injuries, but they did not specify the severity of the dogs’ wounds.

The deputy only sustained minor injuries, and did not require transport to a hospital for treatment.

State patrol did not say whether the tractor-trailer driver was injured.

The Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the accident prior to any charges being filed.

I met with Harry Brown personally and he sat with me for 20 minutes at our initial consultation to explain everything. He even called after my surgery to see how I was doing. I met with him several more times after that and was kept informed about my case throughout. I highly recommend Harry Brown as an attorney.

Bicycle Accidents in Georgia

Bicycle accidents cause devastating injuries. When a car collides with a bicycle, the rider of the bicycle is the one who sustains the most serious injuries. Injuries to the head can cause trauma to the brain and interfere with a person’s ability to think, remember, and concentrate. Injuries to the spine can cause either complete or partial paralysis. Injuries caused by being crushed are harmful to vital organs.

Broken bones, facial scarring, dental and jaw injuries, joint damage, and torn muscles are some of the other serious injuries that can result from a bicycle accident. A prolonged hospital stay may be required to treat infections that are brought on by road rash.

When a bicyclist is hit by a motor vehicle, the rider will often lose their life. When this occurs, the family of the bicyclist may have the right to file a Wrongful Death claim against the at-fault driver.

If you are a victim of a bicycle accident, or if you lost a loved one in an accident, you deserve to be fully compensated for all of your losses.

Our Georgia Bike Accident Lawyers help injury victims with their claims.

When trying to rebuild a life, compensation is absolutely necessary. In the absence of compensation, medical bills remain unpaid. If they do not receive compensation for their injuries, victims of accidents who are unable to pay for ongoing medical treatment endure chronic pain and an impaired quality of life.

Those who have lost a loved one due to wrongful death, also deserve to be compensated for their loss. While no amount of money will ever make up for the loss of someone you love, it will help to keep you from falling into a financial problem.

If you or someone you love was injured in a bicycle accident, contact The Brown Firm by calling (800) 529-1441 to schedule a free consultation with one of our expert attorneys.

Single Vehicle Accidents in Georgia

Accidents involving only one vehicle and one driver are referred to as “single vehicle accidents.” In the majority of cases, a single car accident happens when the vehicle is involved in a collision with another object or is pushed off the road.

An accident that only involves one car can still be extremely dangerous and even fatal despite the fact that there was no other vehicle involved at the time of the crash.

Single-vehicle collisions present various legal difficulties. Even when there was only one vehicle involved in the accident, it is not always easy to determine who was at fault for the collision.

There is a possibility that the accident happened as a result of the carelessness of another person. Take, for instance:

  • Bad Road Conditions may make it difficult for drivers to maintain control of their vehicles, which may increase the risk of collisions. Defects can take the form of potholes, seams, and building debris that have been abandoned on the road. It is possible that the person or organization that was responsible for the road problem may be held accountable if you were involved in an accident as a result of the bad conditions of the road.

  • Another Driver may still be held accountable for the accident even if their vehicle did not crash into yours. If the other driver is careless and they cause your vehicle to be run off the road, they could be held accountable for any damages that were sustained.

  • Mechanical Problems can lead to many issues when operating a motor vehicle. When a car’s brakes, steering columns, tires, wipers, and airbags aren’t working properly, the driver may be in danger of losing their life. When people’s cars don’t work as they should, it could lead to serious injuries.

These are just some of the circumstances that can make it so the driver of a single vehicle is not necessarily to blame for the accident.

At The Brown Firm, one of our knowledgeable and experienced Car Accident Attorneys in Gainesville, GA will conduct a thorough investigation into all of the evidence and particulars pertaining to your collision.

After getting into an accident, the first thing you should do is get in touch with a Car Accident Lawyer as soon as you can, and this is especially true if you believe that the other party was at fault.

Dekalb County, GA – Lanes Shut Down After Crash Involving Police Officer

Dekalb, GA (November 4, 2022) – An overnight accident involving a DeKalb County police officer shut down multiple lanes on Interstate 285.

According to investigators, the officers were responding to a single vehicle accident on Interstate 285 at Covington Highway just before one in the morning.

During the time that officials were investigating the accident, lanes on the southbound side of I-285 were closed.

I met with Harry Brown personally and he sat with me for 20 minutes at our initial consultation to explain everything. He even called after my surgery to see how I was doing. I met with him several more times after that and was kept informed about my case throughout. I highly recommend Harry Brown as an attorney.

Single Vehicle Accidents in Georgia

“Single-vehicle-accidents” are accidents that involve only one vehicle and one driver. Accidents involving a single vehicle occur the vast majority of the time when the vehicle is involved in a collision with another object or is pushed off the road.

Even if there was only one car involved in the accident, it could still end up being extremely hazardous or even fatal despite the fact that there was only one car involved.

Single-vehicle accidents present a number of legal issues. Even when only one vehicle is involved in an accident, it is not always easy to determine who was at fault.

Just because there was only one vehicle involved in the crash does not mean the driver of that vehicle is always solely to blame. For instance:

  • Hazardous Road Conditions-It is possible that a defect in the pavement will make it difficult for drivers to keep control of their vehicles, which will in turn increase the risk of an accident. Defects can appear on the road in the form of potholes, seams, or building debris that has been abandoned. There is a chance that the person who was responsible for the hazardous road conditions could be held legally liable for the accident.
  • Another Driver-Even though there was no other vehicle involved in your accident, it is still possible that another driver could be to blame. If another driver is reckless and they force another vehicle off the road, they could be held accountable for the accident that happened.
  • Mechanical Error-Driving a vehicle that contains components that are not operating as they should creates the potential for putting the driver and others in harm’s way. If your vehicle is experiencing issues with the brakes, steering column, tires, wipers, or airbags, you run the risk of being placed in a dangerous situation that could result in an accident. When vehicles do not function as they were intended to, both the people driving them and other drivers are at risk of suffering serious injuries.

These are just some of the situations that can make it so that the driver of a single vehicle is not necessarily to blame for an accident that only involves their vehicle, as in the case of the examples given above.

Do not be hesitant to get in touch with us at The Brown Firm for a free consultation if you believe that a single-vehicle accident you were involved in was the result of the negligence of another party.

Single Car Accidents

A single-car accident occurs when there is only one driver involved. Normally in a single-car accident, the vehicle collides with another object or is forced off the road.

Even though another vehicle is not involved in a single-car accident, it can still be very serious and even deadly.

Single-vehicle collisions present various legal difficulties. Even though only one vehicle was involved, it is still not always clear who is at fault for the accident.

There is a possibility that the accident occurred due to someone else’s negligence. For example:

-A defect in the road could cause a driver to lose control of their vehicle, which could lead to an accident. Potholes, seams, and building debris that have been left on the road are examples of defects. The person or entity that was responsible for the road problem may also be held accountable for the single-car accident.

-Even if another car was not involved in the collision, it is still possible that another driver was at fault. A vehicle could be forced off the road if the other driver is driving recklessly. Even though the vehicles may not have collided, the other driver could be responsible for the crash.

-Car parts that aren’t working properly might make a vehicle dangerous to drive. Problems with a vehicle’s brakes, steering columns, tires, wipers, and airbags can put the driver in a potentially life-threatening situation. When people’s automobiles do not function as they are supposed to, it may result in serious injury.

These are just some of the reasons why it may not always be the driver’s fault when a single-car accident occurs.

At The Brown Firm, one of our experienced Car Accident Attorneys in Wilmington, GA will carefully review all of the evidence and details of your crash.

You should always contact a law firm as quickly as possible after being involved in an accident, especially if you believe someone else is to blame.

Our attorneys have many years of experience representing victims of single-car accidents. We work diligently to help victims receive compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, vehicle damages, as well as pain and suffering.

Lyerly, GA – Three Georgia High School Football Players Killed When Vehicle Hits Driveway and Flips

Lyerly, GA (October 30, 2022) – Four people, including three high school football players, died early Sunday, October 30th, after a car rolled over in northwest Georgia.

The Georgia State Patrol says the crash happened just after midnight on Georgia 114 near Lyerly.

The Chattooga County Superintendent said three of the dead were students at Chattooga High School. The school’s football team posted on social media that those three boys had all been football players. None of the victims were immediately named.

Troopers say a 2019 Audi RS5 veered off a curve onto a grass shoulder, hit a private driveway, and then flipped, coming to rest upright.

The driver and two passengers died before they could be taken to a hospital. A male passenger was pronounced dead at a Rome hospital, while a female passenger was hospitalized in Rome in critical condition.

It’s unclear why the vehicle left the road. Troopers are reconstructing the accident as part of their investigation.

The school said counselors will be available to students and employees.

Single Car Accident in Georgia

Accidents involving only one vehicle and one driver are referred to as “single-car accidents.” In the majority of cases, a single-car accident happens when the vehicle is involved in a collision with another object or is pushed off the road.

An accident that only involves one car can still be extremely dangerous and even fatal despite the fact that there was no other vehicle involved.

Single-vehicle collisions present various legal difficulties. Even when there was only one vehicle involved in the accident, it is not always easy to determine who was at fault for the collision.

There is a possibility that the accident happened as a result of the carelessness of another person. For instance:

-A flaw in the pavement may make it difficult for drivers to maintain control of their vehicles, which may increase the risk of collisions. Defects can take the form of potholes, seams, and building debris that has been abandoned on the road. It is possible that the person responsible for the bad road conditions could be held liable for the accident.

-Even though there was no other vehicle involved in the accident, it is still possible that another driver was at fault for the collision. If another driver is careless with their driving, it is possible that they will force another vehicle off the road. The possibility exists that the other driver was at fault for the accident, despite the fact that the vehicles might not have actually collided.

-It is possible that driving a vehicle with components that aren’t functioning properly could be hazardous. If your vehicle has problems with the brakes, steering column, tires, wipers, or airbags, you could be put in a dangerous situation that leads to an accident. Drivers and passengers can sustain serious injuries if their vehicles do not perform as they were designed to.

These are just some of the circumstances that can make it so the driver of a single vehicle is not necessarily to blame for an accident that involves only their vehicle.

If you were involved in a Single Vehicle Accident and believe it was the result of another party’s negligence, don’t hesitate to contact us at The Brown Firm for a free consultation.

Our team of Car Accident Attorneys have many years of experience representing accident victims. During your consultation, we will determine if you have a case and how we can best assist with the recovery of your losses.
