Atlanta, GA – Man Killed in Deadly Single-Vehicle Accident
Atlanta, Georgia (May 28, 2023) – A single-car crash on Lee Street in southwest Atlanta late Saturday evening is thought to have been caused by speed.
The accident happened around 11:45 p.m. near Tucker Avenue. Officers arrived to find the car smashed into the large concrete pillar that supports the MARTA train.
The 40-year-old man had to be extracted from the wreckage, but he was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
It is not yet known what caused the driver to veer off the roadway. There is an ongoing investigation into the accident.
I met with Harry Brown personally and he sat with me for 20 minutes at our initial consultation to explain everything. He even called after my surgery to see how I was doing. I met with him several more times after that and was kept informed about my case throughout. I highly recommend Harry Brown as an attorney.
Single-Vehicle Car Accidents in Georgia
Single-vehicle accidents are those involving only one vehicle and one driver. A single-car accident typically occurs when a vehicle collides with another object or is pushed off the road.
A single-car collision can still be extremely dangerous or even fatal, even in the absence of any other vehicles.
Single-vehicle collisions give rise to a variety of legal issues. Even when only one vehicle is involved in an accident, it can be difficult to pinpoint who was at fault.
It’s possible that the accident was caused in part by someone else’s carelessness. For instance:
-On poor roads, it may be difficult for drivers to keep control of their vehicles, increasing the risk of an accident. Seams, potholes, and construction materials left on the ground are examples of defects. If poor road conditions contributed to your accident, the person or organization in charge of the problem may be held accountable.
-Even if another driver’s car did not directly collide with yours, they may still be held accountable for the accident. If the other driver was negligent and caused your car to veer off the road, then any harm and injuries you suffer may be their fault.
-Due to mechanical problems, driving a car can present a number of difficulties. When a car’s brakes, steering columns, tires, wipers, and airbags malfunction, the driver could be killed. People’s cars can malfunction, resulting in serious injuries.
These are just a few of the many possible outcomes of a single-vehicle accident in which the driver is not at fault.
