Albany, GA ( November 4, 2022) – A police officer in Albany is recovering from minor injuries sustained in a collision with a civilian.
According to agency officials, on Friday, November 4, shortly after noon, an officer was responding to a burglary in progress call while driving northbound on N. Jefferson Street.
According to APD, the police vehicle collided with another vehicle traveling westbound on W. Broad Ave. as it approached the intersection.
Both the law enforcement officer and the civilian driver were taken to the hospital for treatment of their relatively minor injuries.
This collision is currently being looked into by the Georgia State Patrol.
